EVENT OUTLINE:
in 2019, Vans Duct Tape invitational came to Rockaway Beach. As part of the festivities, we partnered togther to host a night celebrating the evolution of women in surf. The goal was to support women’s logging and highlight the talented international collective of female surfers of the NY Duct Tape Invitational who are photographers, filmmakers and artists. We made connections to the engaged New York community, showcasing style and originality in surfing and in surf culture including film, art and music.
We exhibited the artwork and films produced by Vans Surf team The nightly soiree will premiere film projects by surfers Ainara Aymat, Le-Ann Curren, Karina Rozunko, and Hanna Scott.
